Activities Subcommittee

Having Fun in Recovery

Welcome to the Activities Subcommittee Page!

Our First Tradition states that “personal recovery depends on NA unity.” The Activities Committee coordinates fun, recovery-oriented events that help promote unity in the Mountain Area NA community as well as fundraising events that help support other committees and groups in the Mountain Area in their effort to carry the message to the still sick and suffering addict.

Service Positions

The Activities Subcommittee is comprised of following service positions:

  • Chairperson
  • Vice-chairperson
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • General Members

For more information on the Activities Subcommittee’s service positions and responsibilities, please see our Policy.

Why Should I Get Involved?

The Activities Subcommittee helps promote unity and a sense of camaraderie within the Mountain Area NA community. Without the Activities committee, all of the responsibilities of planning, organizing, and hosting events that are so important to our personal recovery would be placed with the individual groups whose primary purpose is to carry the message. As it states in the First Tradition, “Our common welfare should come first,” and that is the purpose of the Activities committee: helping to ensure the common welfare of the Fellowship as a whole. Does your group need help with and event? Contact us.  It is in the spirit of unity that all members and groups work together, not in competition, to carry the message of recovery to newcomers and to addicts yet to arrive in the rooms of Narcotics Anonymous.

How Do I Get Involved?

There is no clean time requirement to be a member of the Activities Subcommittee, and we have a lot of fun. There is plenty for everyone to do. Want to be a part of? Attend our next meeting or contact us today.
