Narcotics Anonymous Literature

Written by Addicts for Addicts

Welcome to the Literature Subcommittee Page!

All Conference approved literature published for Narcotics Anonymous is produced from within the fellowship. These publications may be initiated by individuals, but true group conscience is obtained initially through the efforts of the Literature Subcommittee. The Literature Subcommittee uses meetings and workshops to initiate, collect, and review items for potential publication submitted by members and groups. They also inform the fellowship about newly submitted literature from other areas and regions, so that a true group conscience can be forwarded through the service structure to the World Service Conference.

Once the literature is approved and published, it may be purchased directly from the Mountain Area Literature Subcommittee.  To order literature for your group, simply fill go to the MANA Literature Google Doc and enter your order quantities under your group’s name for each item. The charges for the order will automatically total at the bottom of the sheet. Bring this amount with you to the next Mountain Area Service Meeting and pick up your order.

If you prefer you can download, print, and fill out the paper NAWS Lit Order Form, total your charges and bring it to the next MASC meeting to turn in to the Literature chairperson. Paper orders take much longer to process and will be filled after digital submissions. Literature purchased from the Mountain Area Literature Subcommittee will cost less than ordering from the WSO or other areas.  On average, groups save 6.5% by ordering from the Mountain Area Literature Subcommittee.  Sorry, we do not ship orders.

Much of NA’s literature in digital format can be found here.

Service Positions

The Literature Subcommittee is comprised of the following positions:

  • Chairperson
  • Vice-chairperson
  • General Volunteers

For more information on these positions and responsibilities, please see our MASC Policy.

Why Should I Get Involved?

The Literature Subcommittee prepares literature orders including books, booklets, meeting lists, information pamphlets, key tags, medallions, and more, for all of the Area’s groups during the Area Service Committee Meeting. This is a big job and general members are needed to help prepare orders in that short time frame. It is a great way to get involved with service and be of service to the entire Area.
