Want Help? Come to a Meeting

At meetings you will be able to connect with other addicts who can help. Check the Meetings page to find meetings near you by day, location, or time.

Getting Out Soon? Make a Connection with a Recovering Addict

If you are being released from an addiction program in a correctional or treatment facility and want to attend Narcotics Anonymous after your release, the NA Recovery Envoys can match you with an NA member to get you to your first few meetings and help you become acquainted with NA members and groups in your release area.  Check the Recovery Envoy page and complete the form to arrange for a guide to contact you.

Want More? Read Our Literature

Check the Literature page. You will find several pamphlets and booklets that can give you more information about meetings and recovery in NA.

Need to Talk? Call our Helpline

Call 423.302.0494 and speak with one of our members. They can share their experience with you about recovery in NA and answer any questions you may have about specific meeting types and locations.

Ready to Start? Find a Sponsor

We suggest that you find a sponsor as soon as you become acquainted with NA members in your area. Being asked to sponsor a new member is a privilege so don’t hesitate to ask someone. Sponsorship is a rewarding experience, and we are all here to help and be helped.

Above All Else Keep Coming Back!

You don’t have to be clean when you get here, but after your first meeting we suggest that you keep coming back and come clean. You don’t have to wait for an overdose or jail sentence to get help from NA, nor is addiction a hopeless condition from which there is no recovery. It is possible to overcome the desire to use drugs with the help of the Twelve Step program of Narcotics Anonymous and the fellowship of recovering addicts.

Sponsorship

  • “You can probably get clean by just coming to meetings. However, if you want to stay clean and experience recovery, you will need to practice the Twelve Steps.”

Welcome to NA - IP #22
  • “We often say that no one comes through the doors of NA by mistake. Nonaddicted people don’t spend their time wondering if they’re addicts. They don’t even think about it. If you’re wondering whether or not you’re an addict, you might be one.”

Welcome to NA - IP #22
  • “We are not interested in what or how much you used or who your connections were, what you have done in the past, how much or how little you have, but only in what you want to do about your problem and how we can help.”
